A devotional box! Devotional books are great, but children and youth will love this hands on approach to experiencing God.
At Youth Ministry Conversations, we believe you know your group best. This means our resources look a little different than what you may have experienced in the past. This resource takes some work on your part to put together (it’s how we keep the costs down). We hope you will find opportunities to make this resource work for your group in ways we could never anticipate.
Advent is the season of the church year during which we await the birth of Jesus Christ, but we also anticipate the day that he will come back to earth. We will journey together, in preparation for the birth of Jesus, through four themes that are traditional to the Advent season; hope, peace, joy, and love. We will read scripture from both the Old and New Testaments that exemplify these themes and help us embrace them.
Embracing Advent sounds easy, but embracing Advent means embracing waiting, hope, peace, joy, and love all at once. How do the stories we read encourage us to exemplify these themes? What are some unique ways that you hope to develop your relationship with God? The devotions you find in this resource will challenge you to process and embrace the four themes of Advent in new ways.
