People of Church History | Bible Study
by Abby Pratt
At Youth Ministry Conversations, we believe you know your group best. This means our resources look a little di erent than what you may have experienced in the past. We try and create a “buffet” of material so you can choose and pick what works best for your group. You will nd ideas, instructions, and possibilities in this packet all related to the theme of “The People of Church History.” How you use them, and how you structure your study is up to you. We hope you enjoy this resource and return in the future to check out other materials.
“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” Isaac Newton’s words create an image of faith formation throughout history. In these ten lessons students will be invited to learn the stories of some of Christianity’s “giants” including Mary Magdalene, Martin Luther, Thomas Jefferson and many others. Starting at the empty tomb, they will have the opportunity to piece together a timeline of history and explore the people and events which have formed, reformed, and influenced the faith we practice today.
