The Stories of the Bible

$50.00

Many kids, teenagers, and adults have no clue what makes up the Bible, and what the Bible is. Many youth have missed out on Bible education, and when told to “Turn to Matthew” they have no idea where that is or even what that is. This study is aimed at improved Biblical literacy, while also enhancing the participants desire to continue to dive deeper.

The Stories of the Bible | Bible Study

by Andrew Noe

At Youth Ministry Conversations, we believe you know your group best. This means our resources look a little different than what you may have experienced in the past. We try and create a “buffet” of material so you can choose and pick what works best for your group. You will find ideas, instructions, and possibilities in this packet all related to the theme of “The Stories of the Bible.” How you use them, and how you structure your study is up to you. We hope you enjoy this resource and return in the future to check out other materials.

This Study:

Many kids, teenagers, and adults have no clue what makes up the Bible, and what the Bible is. Many youth have missed out on Bible education, and when told to “Turn to Matthew” they have no idea where that is or even what that is. This study is aimed at improved Biblical literacy, while also enhancing the participants desire to continue to dive deeper.

How to use this study:

Printing:

  • Print the “Illustrations” PDF document, double sided and “Print Actual Size” to prevent your printer from adding additional border to pages.
  • Print the “Instructions” document doubled sided to help with creating the study
  • Print the “Lessons” document either single or double sided (whichever you prefer), and however many copies you need to leaders/teachers.

Creating:

  • Cut and laminate the illustration cardso Use Velcro dots (pick up on amazon, Walmart, or any teacher supply store), so the cards can be pulled down and put up easily, to hang this study on the wall in sections that create a complete picture.
  • Lay it out on the floor to make sure you know how large it will be. Use painters tap to divide the sections on the wall.
  • There is a picture of the first version on the following page. It starts with the Torah in the top right and the arrows lead you all the way to Revelation in the bottom left. It is about 12 feet tall by about 15 feet long.
  • Feel freedom to design yours differently, or even punch a hole in each card and make a flip book with a metal ring clasping them all together.
  • In December of 2018 this will be updated with pictures of other youth ministries’ version of this resource. Ideas for this study:
  • Instead of printing, invite your students up to the church one day and have them draw/write the pictures/descriptions. This gives more ownership and interest to them
  • Hang this on a wall behind where people normally teach, so that it can stay up after the study and be used as a reference guide in other lessons
  • After the youth have done the study, see if the adults would be interested in having the youth come teach them (using the same study). The best way to learn is to teach!
  • Add your own pictures/descriptions to the mix.

Supplies:

  • A 12×12 foot blank wall space
  • Blue painters tape
  • Printouts (Laminated)
  • Velcro Dots
  • About 4-8 hours of prep
