by Ben Brown
At Youth Ministry Conversations, we believe you know your group best. This means our resources look a little different than what you may have experienced in the past. We try and create a “buffet” of material so you can choose and pick what works best for your group. You will find ideas, instructions, and possibilities in this packet all related to the theme of “The Stories of the Old Testament.” How you use them, and how you structure your study is up to you. We hope you enjoy this resource and return in the future to check out other materials.
This Study:
Stories guide us through our lives. These stories and experiences get passed down through time, and the truth of these experiences keep them in the zeitgeist. Throughout the Hebrew Bible, there are stories and prophecies that begin to tell us the nature of God. These lessons and stories from the Old Testament show us a God that creates and moves through the messiness of life. This God uses all people and can use you as well. These devotions offer a framework of the stories of God moving in the past, and through this maybe we can notice God moving in our present tense.
