Over the last several months, we have been collecting data on current youth minister’s salary packages with benefits included. We currently have 30 collected responses, but are hoping to continue updating this. If you have not yet completed this survey please do so (if you are a youth minister) at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HYBW8N2.

This data has been collected for ministers to use it as needed for negotiating increases in pay or benefits, or for churches to use in evaluating where they are compared to others. No two churches are alike financially, and while two churches might be the same size, what they can afford to pay a minister may be drastically different.

Most importantly, this information is for conversations, not arguments. Oftentimes, ministers and churches shy away from the subject of money and benefits when discussing ministry positions. Hopeful this data can be used together by a minister and congregation to help them both in the discussions and journey ahead.
